来源：凤凰网1954年，梦露与极负盛名的美国棒球明星狄马乔结婚，当他们俩赴日本度蜜月时，梦露中途被美国将军邀请到韩国参加劳军。
1954年2月16日，梦露抵达韩国进行为期4天的劳军活动，受到10万美军疯狂的欢迎。《太平洋星条旗报》的记者罗伯特·詹宁斯说:“梦露要来的消息就像野火一样燃烧了整个军营，有些美国大兵甚至哭了，还有的突然沉默地向往那一刻的到来。”
梦露抚慰了士兵们寂寞的心灵，同时她也是这次劳军的最大受益人。回到美国后，梦露表示，这是她首次觉得自己像个明星。
