Ea leaks the secret plan
Utnapishtim tells Gilgamesh a secret story that begins in the old city of Shuruppak on the banks of the Euphrates River[Utnapishtim secretly informs Gilgamesh a story that begins in the aged city of Shuruppak existed on the banks of the Euphrates River].

When Enlil arrived, he saw the boat and became furious at the Igigi gods. He said "Where did a living being escape? No man was to survive the annihilation!"[Just at the same time as Enlil arrived, he looked fixedly the giant boat and became indignant at the Igigi gods. He loudly indicated "Where did a living being escape? As expected not single man was to survive the major damages!"]
