Part Fifty

“In addition, 84,000 Brahmins, intelligent and wise, following great King Śaṅkha, will renounce family life to learn the Way in the Buddha Dharma. An elder named Sudatta, who is none other than the Elder Sudatta today, together with 84,000 people, will also renounce family life. Two brothers named Ṛṣidatta and Pūraṇa, together with 84,000 people, will also renounce family life. Two great ministers named Brahmadamāli and Sumana, valued by the king, together with 84,000 people, will also renounce family life to learn the Way in the Buddha Dharma.
