送一只火鸡

  材料: 1 (11.2磅) 火鸡

  1根(1/4磅) butter or margaring

  some rosemary or thyme

  1 个lemon

  1 棵大蒜头

  1 个洋葱

  Roast Turkey:

  (1) The night before baking, Remove liver, gizzard and neck from cavity, clean and dry turkey. Wash liver, gizzard and neck. Place in saucepan and cover with water; add a little salt and pepper; boil until tender (with lid on). Remove giblets and dice meat. Sace for giblet gravy.

  Rub salt thoroughly inside and outside of turkey.

  (2) Thanksgiving day, mix softened butter with lemon zest and rosemarry(or Thyme). Rub the above mixture outside and inside of turkey breast skin.

  peel garlic, cut the remaining lemen and onion. Place them inside the cavity of the turkey

  (3) Put turkey breast side up in the roast pan. bake 3 hours at 325F

  1 hour before it's done, check the color. When the color is golden, put foil loosely on top of the turkey.

  (4) take the pan out, let turkey stand for 15 Mins, remove and slice.

  Giblet Gravy:

  4 table spoons butter or margaring

  4 tablespoons flour

  2 cups chicken broth

  chopped cooked biblets

  salt and pepper to taste

  Melt butter in pan. Add flour- blend together and cook over very low heat till frothy and light tan. Keep on stirring. Add chicken broth and cook till thickened. Add chopped cooked giblets for giblet gravy.
